for 'real' materials http://www.mcmaster.com/ for those willing to venture beyond chipboard and bass wood mcmaster carr everything from industrial grade felt to 1/64" thick bronze, steel barstock, i mean EVERYTHING...get it delivered to school...they deliver super fast...will be there the next day...guaranteed!
plastics canal plastics http://www.canalplasticscenter.com/ sadly the far superior industrial plastics is no longer...but you can still find a wide range of plastics here...generally all raw plastics pass through canal street.

janoffs...i know you all know about it...but this is my little plug for such a small store they have a great selection yes...i know...it's more expensive than pearl (and we all have to save a buck)...but there's a reason for that...they're a smaller store...they buy at higher prices...support your local economy.
